Goodby my life..

I am a one finger typist, make it two fingers when i'm inspired. So my 'normal' average would be around 350 words per hour. Deviding this figure by two, since I have no idea what I will be writing about, yields 175 words per hour. Humm.. lemme see, that's 285 hours for the 50000 words, or an average of 9 hours per day!
God help me...

350 words an hour sounds like a lot. Does it really come to 9 hrs per day? I'm afraid to do the math. I calculated about 1600 words per day. That seems doable if one does not spend too much time thinking about word choice. It helps me to write in shorter rathter than longer sentences, and I think easier to read that way too.

Hmm - now some people have ridiculous speeds of like 80 words a minute.

So that's 4,800 words an hour.

So they need only write for 20 minutes a day ;)

(Yeah... I know it doesn't quite work like that, unless you plan to write the: "Once upon a time. Once upon a time. Once upon a time. Once upon a time. The End. The End. The End. The End."

You'll probably become faster as NaNoWriMo goes on!

I'm one of those 80 words per minute people, and I've currently got 57 words written, so yeah it doesn't work quite like that :D

I'm going to go buy some cat litter, start some laundry, and get down to some serious nanowrimoing!

The important question is do your thoughts pour in at 350 words an hour?

You got it right Redha. The toughest part will be making sure what lands on the page is still intelligible to the rest of the human race :-)
